| Message | The 3-5 minute cool down is just a guideline. After a hard run through a Auto-X I usually park and run at 1200 rpm for ~3 min and idle for a couple
of minutes after that. Same goes for drag racing. I don't really boost too
much at all on the streets, so I really don't have to cool down after a
normal drive, maybe a minute or so if I have boosted within that last few
 minutes.
The cooldown methods I use are based off of recommended procedures
that turbocharged equipment requires after use. I never really got why
someone would install a couple hundred dollar timer just to let the car run
about 30 seconds after the key is pulled.
